Leaving it all behind |
Lyrics: T. Karlsson & M. Tärnfors

"Grace is all that matters now" is what he said to me
"Ain’t it just too crazy how things turn out to be
One time there were blue skies up ahead
When do colors lose their shine and turn to autumn gray,
Is it due to roads we cross in the blue-eyed month of May?
Choices made that leave us with their scars"
PRE-CHORUS
But He found me, and I can fi nally say
CHORUS
Now I’m leaving it all behind, the life I knew
I am free from my chains
And as night turns to day I know, your love remains
There is hope still for the fallen
VERSE 2
Is there something wrong with us, something that we’ve missed?
We’ve run a million miles but still, we seek the easy thrill
Trial and error doesn’t seem to work
Traveling at the speed of light towards all that we fear
Slamming into nothingness as we try to shift to rear
Still it doesn’t matter if we fall
PRE-CHORUS
‘Cause there’s time still and he’s reaching out his hand
BRIDGE
Redeemed through what you did on Calvary
And trough the blood I know that I’m free
B CHORUS
Your Grace is all I need now; Your love will carry me home
Inspiration:
Writing this lyric, I strongly felt that God was trying to show me how much He loves each and every one of us. No matter what roads we may have crossed, He’s still standing with His arms wide open for us to come
home. - TK
